Mark Raab received his BFA from Maine College of Art in Portland, and his MFA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has had several solo exhibitions in the Philadelphia area and has been included in many group shows as well. He says of his abstract paintings, which emphasize geometry and color, 'I paint systematic abstraction, parameters established by the use of technique, but tempered, infused with chance, randomness, spontaneity…the thin line, the razor’s edge, the gray area, overlapping, these are the things in life that are real.'
