The Chestnut Hill Gallery is a thriving art gallery and full-service custom framing center located in the
heart of Chestnut Hill’s historic district. We are thrilled to represent over 40 local, national and
international artists offering a diverse and rich collection of landscapes, urbanscapes, and still lives
from the realist to impressionist traditions. Many of our artists are well-established from the
critically acclaimed British artist
David Hyde to Chestnut Hill’s own
Paul Rickert and
John Lear,
but we are equally committed to maintaining a vital relationship with the
emerging Philadelphia artist community.
With regular, rotating exhibitions in two galleries, an extensive inventory, and
20 years experience in the art world, Chestnut Hill Gallery provides a unique

- April 1 - 26, 2008 - The American Color Print Society (ACPS)-
Special Members' Exhibition. Reception Saturday, April 5th 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Chestnut Hill Gallery is excited to be hosting the nationally acclaimed ACPS
which was founded right here in Philadelphia for a special members
exhibition.
The ACPS is a non-profit invitational members organization which was
established in 1939 for the purposes of exhibiting the color print. The ACPS
collections have been exhibited at the Philadelphia Museum of Art as well as
the National Gallery of Art in D.C. Noted members of ACPS included Benton
Spruance, John Taylor Arms, Sam Maitin, and Abraham Hankins. The Chestnut
Hill Gallery exhibit will feature all original fine art prints and
hand-pulled lithographs. There will be a range of prices and sizes. Stop by
the week before the reception to preview and reserve your favorite. Stay

- May 27 - June 21 - Philadelphia Premier Water Color Show
The Gallery is thrilled to bring to you on
May 27th (Artists Reception Friday, May 30th) through June
21st a Prestigious Philadelphia Water Colorists Exhibit featuring Chestnut
Hill's own John Lear, Jim McFarlane, Bill Roberts and Susannah Hart Thomer.
Don't miss this opportunity to meet and celebrate the intricate work
of these four influential and premier water colorists whose body of
work have spanned the Philadelphia art scene over the decades (There may
even be a birthday cake for a certain artist turning 98!) Note
the Artists' Reception date and time is on FRIDAY, May 30th from 7:00 - 9:30
P.M.
