April 6 - 24: Philip Cohn: Recent Paintings

The Chestnut Hill Gallery is proud to announce an exhibition of the new paintings of Philip Cohn. A Philadelphia native, Cohn has been painting his hometown for over fifty years. He also paints landscapes of Europe, where he has traveled extensively, and cites Italian, French and Dutch painting traditions as a major influence on his painting style and subject matter.

The Chestnut Hill Gallery
On Friday, March 10, in the evening opened at the fairly new Chestnut Hill Gallery, 8117 Germantown Ave., what struck me as the best show I have encountered in my years of looking in and around our community. Come to think of it, no other out-of-the city show has matched it in my books.
